WooCommerce Setup

The Tradeleap WordPress plugin brings tiered wholesale pricing to WooCommerce, with automatic cart discounts and sync to your Tradeleap dashboard.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.0 or higher
  • WooCommerce 7.0 or higher
  • PHP 7.4 or higher

The plugin is fully compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) and works with both simple and variable products, including individual variations.

1. Install the plugin

  1. Upload the tradeleap plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or install it through the WordPress plugin screen.
  2. Activate it from the Plugins screen in WordPress admin.
  3. New menu items appear under WooCommerce: TL Settings, TL Tiers, TL Customers, and TL Pricing.

2. Connect your API key

  1. Sign in to your Tradeleap dashboard and copy your store's API key from Settings. (New here? See Getting Started.)
  2. In WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce → TL Settings and paste the key.
  3. Save. The plugin registers your store with the Tradeleap backend and sets up webhooks so orders and customers stay in sync with your cloud dashboard.

You can also use the plugin standalone for basic tier pricing without a Tradeleap account — the API key is only needed for cross-platform sync and the cloud dashboard.

3. Set up tiers and pricing

  • Tiers — create tiers like Wholesale, Distributor, or VIP under WooCommerce → TL Tiers, each with a default discount percentage.
  • Customers — assign WooCommerce customers to tiers under WooCommerce → TL Customers (search and filter supported).
  • Per-product pricing — set product-level discounts that override tier defaults under WooCommerce → TL Pricing.

Tiers and pricing managed in your Tradeleap dashboard sync down to the plugin, so you can run everything from tradeleap.io if you manage multiple stores.

4. What customers see

Wholesale pricing only shows to logged-in customers assigned to an active tier — all other visitors see your regular WooCommerce prices. Tier customers get:

  • Strikethrough original prices with the discounted wholesale price on product pages.
  • A "Wholesale" badge on discounted products.
  • Discounts applied automatically in the cart and at checkout — no coupon codes needed.

Compatibility notes

Tradeleap hooks into standard WooCommerce price filters, so it works alongside most plugins. Conflicts can occur with other wholesale or dynamic-pricing plugins — if you see unexpected prices, try disabling other pricing plugins first, then email support@tradeleap.io if the issue persists.
